Student Services provide help and advice about applications and enrolments, and the best course for your requirements. Working with your tutor, they also co-ordinate UCAS applications, and provide guidance about university offers and entry requirements.
Jane Dowd (Executive Manager for Student Services & H.E.)
Jane has a BA (Hons) Degree in Theatre, a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE FE), a Graduate Diploma in Psychology and a Diploma In The Theory and Practice of Counselling. Jane has taught, and curriculum managed, a broad range of subjects in both the Secondary and Further Education Sectors.
Jodie Askins (Administrator)
Jodie has NVQ levels 2 & 3 in Business and Administration, she has worked in an office environment for 15 years performing a variety of roles including Business, Admin Management and Accounts.
Debbie Cruse (Senior Administrator)
Debbie has worked for DistanceLearningCentre.com for over 10 years. She also works for Hourglass (our not-for-profit organisation), on The Growth Project, as both a group supervisor and volunteer.
Cass Platt (Student Support Officer)
Cass has worked in education settings for 24 years. She achieved BA (Hons) in Childhood Studies, PGDE and has taught on Childcare and Health programmes in FE colleges. Cass enjoys engaging with others and supporting people to achieve the best they can.
Sue Smith (GCSE Administrator)
Sue has an NVQ in Business Admin and Level 3 award Introduction into Leadership and Management. She worked in the NHS for over twenty years and British Telecom for eight years.
Will Butler (Exams Officer & Administrator)
Will has a BA (Hons) in Politics. He worked in a variety of roles in a District Council Neighbourhood and Community Services Department and was a departmental head mainly concerned with finance and costing in a publicly traded transport company. In addition to this he has been involved with various environmental and community not-for-profit organisations.
